| Last Sunday I was buttonholed by a beaming young gentleman, keen to regale me with his thoughts on my new DVD. Bizarrely, he claimed to have found the whole thing extremely funny. |

| St Andrews Open Championship |

| Just back from an extensive tour which included a day at St Andrews for the Open Championship. The hospitality tent was fantastic and there were some good walks to be had on the common and by the sea in between the schmoozing and the networking. |

| Pontefractium Olympic Bid |

| Most upset to hear that London won the 2012 Olympic Games. I was of course heading up Pontefractium's bid. It's all so unfair. We've never even had the games once and London had it in '48. |
